Denon Moore,
the wizard behind the curtain. A passionate owner and operator, seeking a rewarding outcome through creativity and new ideas. Colorado native and Park Hill resident, excited to bring great tasting and awesome looking pastries and custom cakes to her customers.
Sean Moore,
the cupcake guy. Owner, marketer and inventor. He’s the man behind the wheel of Denver’s first mobile cupcake unit. You’ll find him driving the streets in The Denver Cupcake Truck. Where he’ll stop, you never know.
Brandy Walega,
head pastry chef and cake guru. She is a graduate of Johnson and Wales, Denver Baking and Pastry Program and has been with Cake Crumbs since the near beginning. She’s an (art) therapist turned baker since May 2008. In her free time, Brandy likes to paint, run and feed her new found tattoo addiction—Oh, and she loves cake!
Nicole Dechent,
head cake decorator/designer and sculptor of edible animals. After spending most of her mature years getting an art degree and herding chicken in Detroit, Nikki found her way to Denver. She landed a job in a bakery where she met Leanne Adamson who taught her to decorate cakes. She took those basic skills to Cake Crumbs and ran with ‘em! Nikki enjoys long bike rides through foreign countries, snacks and dance parties in the kitchen. Nikki joined the Cake Crumbs team in December of 2008.
Leanne Adamson,
baker of bread and many sweet things. A graduate of Johnson and Wales in Providence, Rhode Island 1999, moved from Massachusetts to Denver in August of 2004. She found herself as head pastry chef for a new restaurant where she gained new experiences, especially that of creating pastries at high altitude. She met her husband in Denver and settled down to start a family. Leanne joined the Cake Crumbs team in July of 2009.
Marnee LeCount,
shop manager and schedule master. Marnee joined the Cake Crumbs team in May 2009 to find herself in a role like no other. From assisting with customers to frosting cupcakes, Marnee is the go-to gal. After moving to the Park Hill neighborhood to be closer to family she found an exciting opportunity to work at Cake Crumbs and be close to home.
Ryan Nash,
assistant baker. Originally from North Carolina , moved to Denver in 2008 and joined the Cake Crumbs team in October 2008. When he’s not baking, you’ll find him working on his 1983 Honda Hobbit PA50-II moped, riding his bicycle, taking photographs of freight trains and historic buildings, jamming out to metal (not the commercial kind!) or hanging with friends.
Nelson Mendez,
assistant baker. Nelson was Cake Crumbs very first employee since February 2008. Hired to assist in all areas but has a real passion for making Cake Crumbs’ famous chocolate sandwich cookies. A baker motivated to master all recipes.
Katie Biesendorfer,
cupcake extraordinaire and customer service specialist. Has lived in Colorado much of her life and is a Park Hill resident. She is a graduate of Metro State College of Denver with degrees in Psychology and Philosophy. She enjoys nature and back packing in her spare time. Katie also enjoys long walks at dusk with friendly strangers.
Rosie Wilmot,
cupcake extraordinaire and customer service specialist. Was born and raised in the pacific northwest. She moved to Colorado to attend the University of Denver and pursue a dual degree in International Studies and English. She loves baking, traveling and the outdoors and was relieved to find employment in such a sweet environment.
Alex Conaway,
cupcake extraordinaire and customer service specialist. A Park Hill resident and freshman at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Alex is a fan of classic rock and political science. Alex has been on the Cake Crumbs team since November 2008.
